MEET W.N.COLLINS

The pandemic has been a tragedy for everyone. I had worked from the time I was seven, and was working as a psychologist until March when the pandemic shut everything down. But every challenge is an opportunity - and this quarantine was my opportunity to devote time and energy to painting. While I had painted off and on during my life, this moment has allowed me to fully release my creativity and explore my inner psyche.
I am an abstract expressionist. I use acrylic as a medium. I use a brush to paint a background and then a pallet knife to complete the painting.
My inspiration comes from an inner muse who directs my choice of color and shape; then objects and figures emerge.
